30-Day Identity in Christ Scripture Writing Plan for Moms & Daughters
There are so many voices telling us who we should be.
The world tells us what we should look like, how successful we should be, what kind of mother we should be, and even what our daughters should become.
And if weโre not careful, those voices can become louder than the voice that matters mostโGodโs.
But what if we slowed down long enough to hear what God says about us?
What if, instead of allowing our circumstances, mistakes, insecurities, or the opinions of others to define us, we opened our Bibles and allowed our Creator to remind us of who we truly are?
And what if we taught our daughters to do the same?
Thatโs the heart behind this 30-Day Identity in Christ Scripture Writing Plan.
Who Does God Say You Are?
Our identity isnโt found in what we accomplish, what we own, how we look, or how others see us.
Our identity is found in Christ.
When we begin to understand who God says we are, it changes the way we see ourselves.
Scripture reminds us that in Christ, we are:
- Loved.
- Chosen.
- Forgiven.
- Godโs workmanship.
- His daughters.
- Made in His image.
- Fearfully and wonderfully made.
- Never alone.
- Created with purpose.
And those are truths our daughters need to know, too.
As moms, we have the beautiful opportunity to help shape the voices our daughters carry with them into adulthood. We can teach them that when the world tries to tell them who they are, they can go back to the Word of God and ask:
โBut what does God say about me?โ
Why Scripture Writing?
Sometimes we read a Bible verse and move on with our day before weโve really had time to think about what we just read.
Scripture writing invites us to slow down.
Instead of rushing through several chapters or feeling pressured to complete a complicated Bible study, you can simply take one passage of Scripture and spend a few intentional moments with God.
Read it.
Write it.
Think about it.
Pray over it.
And let the truth of Godโs Word settle into your heart.
Thereโs something powerful about physically writing Scripture down. It gives us an opportunity to notice words and phrases we may have skimmed over while reading.
And this doesnโt have to become another thing on your already-full to-do list.
Even 10โ15 quiet minutes a day can become a meaningful rhythm of meeting with God.
Make It a Mother-Daughter Moment
One of the reasons we created this plan is because we want to help mothers and daughters seek God together.
You can complete the plan during your own quiet time, share the Scriptures with your daughter, or sit down together and make scripture writing part of your family rhythm.
Grab your Bible study binders, notebooks or journals, your favorite pens and maybe even a few highlighters. Find a cozy spot and spend a few minutes together discovering what God says about you.
Depending on your daughterโs age, you can keep it incredibly simple.
Ask her:
What does this verse tell us about God?
What does this verse tell you about who you are?
What is one truth from this verse you want to remember?
You donโt need to have all the answers.
Youโre simply creating space for the two of you to open Godโs Word together.
And those small moments matter.

How to Use the Plan
Using the plan is simple.
Each day, find the Scripture listed for that day in your Bible. Read the passage slowly, then write it in your journal or notebook.
As you write, pay attention to what stands out to you.
Underline a word.
Circle a promise.
Write down a thought.
Turn the Scripture into a prayer.
And before you finish, ask yourself one simple question:
โWhat does this Scripture teach me about who I am in Christ?โ
You donโt have to make your quiet time complicated for it to be meaningful.
A Truth I Want You to Remember
Beautiful, before you leave this page, I want you to remember something.
You are more than the roles you carry.
You are a wife, a mother, a daughter, a friend, a caregiver, a business owner, an employeeโor maybe several of those things at once.
But before every title and every responsibility, you belong to the Lord.
And your daughter needs to know that about herself, too.
Our girls are growing up in a world that will constantly offer them new identities to put on. Our job isnโt to make sure they never encounter those voices.
Itโs to help them become so familiar with the truth of Godโs Word that they know where to return when those voices get loud.
So for the next 30 days, letโs return to the truth together.
Letโs slow down.
Letโs open our Bibles.
Letโs write His Word on paperโand hide it in our hearts.
And letโs remind ourselves and our daughters, again and again:
I am who God says I am.
